This one day Summit initiated by Gabungan Bertindak Malaysia (GBM) is going to address the common interest for the whole nation of Malaysia that is on National Unity. Despite the continuous reiteration of the need for maintaining national harmony by the governmental officials and the NGOs supporting the course, the cleavage between various groups of society has somehow deepened.

We believed that the means to counteract this trend have to be discussed by GBM coalitions, its supporters and its opponents alike. We also believed that many aspects like ethnic and religious tension including social and economic issues must be scrutinized. What will be the course of the country if these pressing issues are not addressed? Would there be escalation of tension between religious and ethnic groups that could lead to possible violence? Would we be able to create a robust, cohesive and competetive society in the future?

Hence we warmly welcome all NGOs and individuals to attend and share their thoughts. Please register on the eventbrite and fill in the attached Registration Form. Send the form back to the GBM Secretariat by the 4th of May, 2015.
